Founded in Milan by architect Alessandro Scandurra in 2001, Scandurra Studio Architettura is a young and dynamic reality that has always recognised the interdisciplinary approach as a founding principle for architectural design.

We are a multidisciplinary team composed of architects, engineers, designers, and creatives with diverse backgrounds but united by the same desire to leave a positive impact on the world through architecture.
We propose innovative solutions capable of meeting the needs of the present and projecting towards the challenges of the future. In collaboration with the main entities involved in urban transformation and development, we operate worldwide, dealing with design, architecture, and urban planning.

ALESSANDRO SCANDURRA

Born in 1968 and educated at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Alessandro Scandurra took his first steps in the world of architecture at the studio of Umberto Riva after working as a set designer alongside Giorgio Barberio Corsetti. He founded Scandurra Studio Architettura in 2001, immediately distinguishing himself for his incessant research on space and contemporaneity.
As an artistic director for Italian design companies, he was the scientific director for the Portaluppi Foundation in Milan and curator for the Palladio Museum in Vicenza. He has received several nominations and mentions for awards such as the Gold Medal for Italian Architecture, the Mies van der Rohe Award, and the Compasso d’Oro. On the occasion of Expo Milan (2015), he won the competition organised by the Municipality for the realisation of the Expo Gate.
He has also participated in several editions of the Venice Biennale of Architecture and numerous exhibitions at La Triennale di Milano. For years, he has been teaching at schools of architecture and universities, including NABA, Polytechnic University of Milan, and SUPSI in Mendrisio.
His constant research on modes of living and the urban system is reflected in the creation of relational devices and in the manifesto of “Open City”, to which Alessandro Scandurra has directed his reflections in recent years.
