The project unfolds within an 18th-century noble palace, an architectural setting of great historical and artistic value. The interiors retain their original late Baroque features, with richly detailed frescoes, integrated sculptures, and a refined sequence of protected bas-reliefs.

The intervention begins with a deep respect for the existing context, embracing transformation through a subtle and attentive approach. Every design decision stems from an understanding of the site, aiming to introduce contemporary functions without disrupting the spatial and symbolic identity of the original architecture.

The internal layout is reinterpreted to meet modern needs, while maintaining the spatial hierarchy and enhancing the visual sequences between decorated rooms. New insertions are conceived through subtraction: continuous surfaces, pure volumes, and essential detailing accompany the historic elements without visually competing with them.

Material choices focus on neutral tones and natural finishes, establishing a dialogue with the aged surfaces and the color palette of the frescoes. Light, both filtered and diffuse, is used as a design tool to give rhythm and depth to the space, reinforcing the interplay between past and present.

The result is a delicate balance between memory and modernity, where architecture becomes a discreet presence—supporting and enhancing the original beauty of the place with sensitivity and precision.
