“Il Piccolo” is the bistro specifically designed inside the Peck’s historic Milanese store on Via Spadari. The space was conceived as a continuum aimed at harmonising the new with the existing.

The choice to centre the bistro with respect to the plan promotes continuity between what is being tasted and the refined products for sale, displayed in the surrounding windows.

“Il Piccolo” takes up Peck’s 1930s style in the classic atmospheres of cafes and bistros revisited in its stylistic evolution up to the 1960s with the skilful and calibrated insertion of details such as “tiger-striped” wooden borders.

In its configuration, “Il Piccolo” resembles an amphitheatre enclosed by leather benches. In the centre is a wooden counter with dark glass and zinc reflections, whose design is inspired by a model from Peck’s historic works.

With warm tones of chocolate and honey and subdued lighting, the space recalls Peck’s Mitteleuropean origins in Milan to ensure anyone looking for a cosy corner of refreshment a unique experience capable of involving all the senses.
