A winter garden, a colonial tea house, a typical gallery-courtyard. The base concept is to reverse the existing covered space. Instead of having a central pavilion (gazebo), we propose a perimeter covering in order to acoustically protect the rooms on the lower floors and generate a real interior space. As they were thought, the spaces allow flexibility and multiple furniture layouts. The feeling will be of a generous and welcoming space. The covered space is designed to optimize lighting and solar shading in the yard. Three small open courts divide the space into different areas and allow lighting and underground ventilation. The project aims to maintain the idea of a patio garden by creating a system of spaces which are closed or open, covered or uncovered.
