The studio seats in a typical parisian buiding close to Centre Pompidou. It’s at the last floor of the building and it’s been extended to a chambre de bonne, a small kind of room in the attic originally set to domestic. The owner is an american director who spends few days yearly in Paris.
The intervention puts these conditions into the design of few essential and typifying elements.
Sculptural character is stronger than the immediate functional insight of things.
The wall of the bathroom is made of reflecting glass, so to reflect the light and to expand the limits of the small room.
