This is a collection of images shared on the big glass wall of the Mediateca, a curtain that filters light, a stained glass of a church. Ex Voto because each image represents a demand for help. The images here can be seen all together and linked in an unexpected way. I collect images to archive and define a map of references, a complex world of evidences and clues that, connected together, disclose unexpected relations between things.
I’ve always tried to work on my archive, trying to make some order and see which paths are hidden in these image collections
we’ve been making for years in my studio. These images are printed on transparent sheets, in order to let them all be seen simultaneously. This is the fundamental difference with a digital archive: printed images, seen all together, can reveal new paths and ideas.
